JILL CATHERINE

Jill Catherine is a body image educator and mentor who has been working within the support/prevention/education/mentoring arenas of eating disorders, body image, and body dissatisfaction, since 2003.

Her passion and enthusiasm for helping others feel whole in their body and follow their heart, is not only infectious, but also authentic to her own journey and the way she lives her life.

As a former collegiate athlete who once suffered from an eating disorder that nearly took her life, Jill was determined to find peace within herself, and her body. This led her to embark upon an adventurous healing journey filled with great discovery and recovery.

Jill’s 13 years of working within the eating disorders field, coupled with her being a communications professional, cultural dancer and drummer, yoga practitioner, surfer, meditator, and lover of all things movement, provides for a dynamic and unique approach to mentoring and educating others who are healing their relationship to their body.

Her work today as Spokesperson for Ophelia’s Place, as well as her compassionate content company of 44 Hearts, has her traveling in service to others as a performance speaker, educator, workshop and retreat facilitator, wellness coach, dancer/drummer, and media creator/personality.

A seasoned communications professional, Jill has also worked in corporate, non-profit arts, human services, and higher education sectors since 2003, with her last post serving as Director of Communications for the Division of Student Affairs at Syracuse University. She is a graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in communications and sports information.

A bi-coastal gal, Jill calls Santa Cruz, California home, though she also works and plays regularly in Syracuse, New York.
