Love Your Body U is a project supported by KMB for Answers, Ophelia’s Place, the School of Information Studies of Syracuse University.

KMB for Answers is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding awareness, knowledge, understanding, support, and options for those impacted by eating disorders. Founded by the Bennett family in honor of their daughter, Katlyn (Katie) Mary Bennett, who struggled with an eating disorder and passed away in June 2013. KMB for Answers is located in Rochester, NY.

Ophelia’s Place is a non-profit organization that aims to redefine beauty and health by empowering individuals, families, and communities impacted by eating disorders, disordered eating, and body dissatisfaction. This is accomplished through the offering of support services, education and outreach, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs with the Upstate New York Eating Disorder Service, and community built through Café at 407. Ophelia’s Place is located in Liverpool, NY.

 

Screen Shot 2016-01-11 at 12.59.33 PMKatie Bennett was an undergraduate and graduate alumna of the School of Information Studies of Syracuse University (iSchool). While at Syracuse, Katie served as an iSchool Peer Advisor, worked with the Panhellenic Executive Board, was a member of Alpha Chi Omega, and the Orange Pulse Dance Troupe. The Undergraduate Leadership Award, presented yearly at the the School of Information Studies convocation, was named in her honor.
